Personal Chef Lauren Moore

In Her Own Words

I grew up in South Alabama on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Some of my fondest memories are of visiting my maternal and paternal grandparents who both lived on farms in South Alabama. Both of my grandmothers were wonderful southern cooks and taught me how to make everything from homemade biscuits to savory turnip greens and cornbread. They also taught me the importance of fresh quality ingredients as well as the significance of family mealtime. My parents have carried on the traditions and I love to prepare all sorts of dishes that I have learned from family and local chefs.

Global Influences

Having the opportunity to travel the world was an amazing experience and an opportunity to learn how to prepare cuisines from Brazil to Thailand and, most recently, Ireland where I was amazed to discover the gastronomic delights being prepared by some of Ireland’s up and coming chefs. I have also spent extended periods of time in Mexico and the Caribbean and have a passion for all types of Latin and Island style cuisine.

Putting the Personal into Personal Chef

Chef Lauren Moore with Keith and JamesI enjoy cooking and modifying dishes to meet my clients dietary needs. My philosophy is that no one should have to eat boring, bland food… no matter what their dietary restrictions. I enjoy the challenge of cooking very flavorful, delicious dishes for special diets such as diabetic, weight loss, low sodium as well as healthy cuisine in general.

Out of the Kitchen

I am married to the man of my dreams, Keith Moore (aka The Grillmaster) and we share our life on the incredible sugar white beaches of Perdido Key, FL with our amazing English Lab, James Moore.
